ENOUGH IS ENOUGH;RELEASE ARRESTED DEMONSTRATORS IMMEDIATELY THEY ARE NOT ENEMIES—ANGRY ENYAN DENKYIRA CHIEF TO AKUFFO ADDO

The Paramount Chief of Enyan Denkyira Traditional Area has asked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to ensure the immediate release of the over 50 persons arrested during a protest against illegal mining.
According to Osaberima Tsibu Darko Kwaw,it is galamsey,its associate risks, and its perpetrators who are the enemy of the state, not those who are demanding an end to tye manace
“I am talking to our president, his Excellency Akufo Addo, that enough is enough,He should impose a ban on galamsey.
We will not sit aloof and watch out wate4 to get destroyed. We will not sit and watch our children struggle to get good drinking water in the future.
We don’t have money to import water from abroad, so today we are telling the media to here to carry it on that Osaberima Tsibu Darko Kwaw is demanding an embargo on galamsey, whether small scale mining or whatever our water is more important.
The message should also be carried to the president that the concerned citizens who protested against the destruction of our river bodies are not the enemy,with immediate effect they should be released, the have not done any wrong the Chief said during the Enyan Denkyira Annual Akwambo Festival.
The Chief also called for a peaceful election as we are heading towards December 7 polls.
The Chief, according to him, urged the residents of Breman Essian and Ghanain to vote according to how the economy is moving.
He should, Ghanains should look through their situation and vote.
They should not allow any politician to use them to cause meyham before, during, and after the elections.
