Daasebre Twum Ampofo leads charge for cleaner, greener Asiakwa

The Chief of Akyem Asiakwa, Daasebre Twum Ampofo, has reiterated his commitment to making Asiakwa the cleanest town in the Eastern Region.
The Nifahene to Akyem Abuakwa organized a massive clean-up exercise, dubbed “Cleaning and Keeping Akyem Asiakwa Green,” which drew participation from residents, including traditional leaders, youth, religious leaders, and politicians.
The exercise was part of the Chief’s initiative to promote community development and environmental sustainability.
Daasebre Twum Ampofo announced plans to hold monthly clean-up exercises, with every Thursday set aside for communal labour.
He also disclosed that the town would benefit from six mechanised boreholes, which are expected to be commissioned and handed over to the community by March.
The Chief’s vision for Asiakwa extends beyond cleanliness. He intend to enhance the use of technology to students and urged the youth to desist from unnecessary demonstrations, encouraging them to seek assistance from the Palace instead.

He also advised motorists, particularly okada riders, to exercise caution, especially during funerals and other occasions.
Daasebre Twum Ampofo’s leadership has brought hope to the people of Asiakwa, who are eager to see their town transformed into a model of development and sustainability.
The community’s response to the clean-up exercise is a testament to the Chief’s ability to mobilize and inspire his people.
