Birim central MCE Denies Allegations of Colluding with Illegal Miners

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Birim Central Municipal Assembly, Hon. Kwasi Brako, has strongly refuted allegations that he has collected money from illegal miners and market women in Oda.

In a press conference held at the Oda Birim Municipal Assembly, Hon. Brako denied the allegations, describing them as baseless and malicious

The MCE emphasized his administration’s commitment to fighting illegal mining activities in the area. He stated that his office is working tirelessly with security agencies to clamp down on these activities, especially along the Birim River.

Hon. Brako revealed that he had invited the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) Task Force to raid illegal mining sites in the municipality.

The MCE urged the public to support his administration’s efforts in fighting illegal mining and promoting sustainable development in the area. He assured the residents that his administration will continue to work towards creating a safe and healthy environment for all.

Hon. Brako categorically denied collecting money from illegal miners and market women, stating that these allegations are unfounded and intended to tarnish his reputation.
