Private Facilities PAs Should Boycott Over Poor Conditions

Physician Assistants (PAs) across the country are being urged to avoid working in certain private healthcare facilities due to poor working conditions, salary delays, and unfair treatment. Reports indicate that some of these institutions fail to uphold fair employment standards, leading to exploitation and dissatisfaction among healthcare workers.

PAs who find themselves in such conditions are advised to leave these facilities and alert their colleagues to avoid similar exploitative offers. Below is a list of private medical facilities where PAs have reported concerns:

30. McKenzie Hospital – Ahinsan Estate, Kumasi (no salary payments for three months: Nov 2023 – Jan 2024)

31. Lod Medical and Fertility Center – Ashaley Botwe (overuses workers and pays less; first-month salary withheld)

32. Gina Medical Center – Techiman (late salary payments, overwork, and underpayment)

33. Pisgah Advanced Medical Center – Bechem (Motto: “We don’t work because of salary”—PAs should take note!)
