Investors Show Interest in Partnership with Metro Mass Transit Limited

Metro Mass Transit Limited (MMTL) has attracted interest from both foreign and domestic investors who are keen on partnering with the state transporter to enhance its services.

The investors are proposing to boost MMTL’s fleet and modernize its infrastructure across the country.

The investors have expressed interest in various areas, including:

  • Infrastructure development
  • Solar energy
  • Training
  • Supply of cost-saving electric and smart vehicles

One company has even proposed establishing a driving school in partnership with MMTL, which promises to be a massive project serving the entire country.

Another group has offered services in solar energy, converting petroleum or diesel-powered vehicles into solar-powered ones.

The Head of Corporate Communications at MMTL, Mohammed Mubarak Watara, has welcomed the interest shown by investors, attributing it to the good work of the Managing Director and his management team.

He emphasized that the company is open to proposals that can enhance its services.

The interest in partnership with MMTL was showcased at the maiden Ghana Transport & Logistics Fair 2025, which was opened by President John Dramani Mahama.

The fair brought together industry players and firms to exhibit their products and services, with the theme “Resetting Ghana’s Transport Sector for Improved Connectivity, Innovation, and Investment.”
