Asene Manso Akroso District Unveils New School Facilities in Akyem Mante and Apeaem

Akyem Mante and Apeaem, Eastern Region – The District Chief Executive of Asene Manso Akroso, Hon. Erick Ahinakwa, has commissioned ultramodern school facilities in Akyem Mante and Apeaem.

The projects, undertaken in collaboration with Beast Philanthropist and West Akyem Cooperative Cocoa Farmers and Marketing Union, aim to enhance educational infrastructure in the district.

The newly unveiled facilities include a four-unit classroom block, a kindergarten classroom, playrooms, a school kitchen, a borehole with an overhead tank, and a hybrid power system at Akyem Mante. Additionally, a six-unit classroom block, teachers’ bungalow, and ICT center were renovated at Apeaem.

Hon. Ahinakwa, speaking at the commissioning ceremony, expressed satisfaction with the projects, which he described as a long-standing priority since taking office.

He urged beneficiaries to adopt a maintenance culture to ensure the facilities serve future generations.

Osaberima Kwabena Ofori, Chief of Akyem Akroso, advised community members to refrain from destructive behavior and keep the environment clean.

He also cautioned residents against allowing domestic animals to roam freely, emphasizing the importance of reporting any destructive acts to the authorities.

The projects are expected to significantly improve the learning environment in the district, supporting the government’s efforts to enhance education in Ghana.
